His passion for art, photography, and nature, cultivated since childhood, awakened in him a magical eye that translates into a blend of fine arts, bringing a fascinating world to life in each of his works.
Master Milló is constantly creating and evolving.
His work, with its very particular style, is already recognized internationally by specialized critics. The source of his inspiration is the origins of humanity. He seeks to reflect the harmony between human beings and nature through the powerful beauty of plants, flowers, clay, and organic materials, which the artist intertwines with the sensuality of the human figure.
His pieces are poetic allusions to the primordial goddess who personifies Mother Earth, from whom all divine races arise; his philosophy is based on respect for differences. When covered in clay, the skin loses its original color; physical features and characteristics fade away to give life to a human being. It is the moment when the person ceases to be aware of their position in the system of which they are a part and begins to act in accordance with this new vision. The human being is not just another piece, but their raw material is the same as that of the rest of the pieces. Mere clay molds endowed with life.
Milló constructs complex compositions in which painting, sculpture, and the play of light and shadow come together to create subtle and poetic atmospheres. In his images, human beings are a metaphor for the fertile earth from which life springs; an overflowing, full, pulsating life…
It can be said that the naked bodies are blank canvases that the artist intervenes with clay and pigments, and then covers with simple or complex compositions of plants, earth, roots, leaves, flowers, and fruits. This brings his final work to life through his masterful use of light sources and shadows that give volume and movement to the creation captured through his magical eye as he freezes time in a unique and unrepeatable moment.
“Plants and the body speak to me,” says Milló, “and I let myself be carried away; it is emotions that have the final say.”
In his relentless search for creative techniques and processes, Milló ventures into mosaic making. An ancient technique that Milló brings up to date with his bold and exuberant imagery, executed with surprising meticulousness.
