Nacida en Estambul, Özlem ha sido una apasionada de la pintura desde su infancia, inspirándose en las ricas tradiciones artísticas del Mediterráneo. Desde las antiguas ruinas de Éfeso hasta los vibrantes tejidos de Anatolia Oriental, su obra refleja la diversidad cultural y el patrimonio de su tierra natal.

Tras trasladarse a Londres en 2015, Özlem desarrolló su estilo artístico único, combinando su formación académica en Biología y Botánica con su profundo amor por la ciencia y la naturaleza. Sus pinturas entrelazan escenas naturales y mundos imaginarios, a menudo inspirados en sus experiencias cotidianas y su admiración por el cine y la literatura clásicos. Conocidas por su vitalidad, alegría y creatividad, sus obras ofrecen una cautivadora exploración de la fantasía, la belleza y la complejidad de la vida.

Su estudio se encuentra en Belsize Park, Londres, y los famosos artistas Piet Mondrian y Ben Nicholson vivieron y trabajaron en la misma casa. Desde 2018, sus obras se han expuesto en todo el mundo, incluyendo Nueva York, España, Francia, Suiza, Italia, Canadá y el Reino Unido. Entre sus publicaciones se incluyen: Leaders in Contemporary Art (Australia) de Capsules Book, The Art Folio Annual: World’s Most Exciting Artists (EE. UU.), House and Garden Magazine, el proyecto Covart del Museo de Arte de la Familia Copelouzos (Grecia), Moi Aussi en Barcelona y 365artplus Magazine (Japón).

Entre sus numerosos galardones, Özlem ha recibido el premio «Best in Show» en Texas, una «Mención de Honor» en Tokio y el premio «Top Ten» de la revista Precious Magazine de Hong Kong. En 2022, fue una de los siete artistas seleccionados para crear un huevo gigante de fibra de vidrio para el Jubileo de Platino de la reina Isabel II, un proyecto organizado por la organización benéfica dedicada a la fauna silvestre Elephant Family. Ha realizado otra exposición pública, «The Big Egg Hunt», para Elephant Family en la primavera de 2025 en Londres.

Además de su trabajo en el estudio, Özlem está comprometida con la sostenibilidad y la filantropía. Colabora con diseñadores de moda concienciados con el medio ambiente, como Sittingsuits, y apoya a organizaciones benéficas como Elephant Family, Combat Stress, Choose Love, Grief and Hope, Gravity Water, Draw For, Project Caritas y Trussell Trust.

Su obra sigue atrayendo a coleccionistas de todo el mundo, entre los que se encuentran nombres tan destacados como Anita Dobson y Brian May, Maria Friedman y Andy Nyman.
