Séverine DesLions is a French painter born in 1972, who currently lives and works in Tours. As a child, Séverine DesLions was inspired by cartoons to paint characters that resemble superheroes. Her work revolves around Speed Boy, a modern hero she invented, who invites viewers to slow down the pace of this fast-paced world and take the time to live in the moment. In fact, our modern societies are characterized by a constant race against time, the goal of which is the pursuit of an unrecognized ideal. Always better, always better… Séverine DesLions’ colorful and entertaining stories remind us that it is essential to know how to enjoy the present moment and what life has to offer.
