From an early age, he was influenced by his father, also a sculptor, which sparked his interest in art.

Lino Chávez’s work is characterized by his modern neo-figurative style, creating magical and dreamlike worlds populated by characters who celebrate life. His compositions include musicians, circus animals, and fantastical elements that evoke the joy and lightness of existence.  He uses mixed media on canvas and bronze sculptures, notable for his expressive use of color and playful forms. Among his influences are Oaxacan art, the work of Rufino Tamayo, and Egyptian art.

Each piece is a cosmos with its own time, where silence sounds like the fluttering of the sea and navigates where one can flow, trust, and stay. Scores in flight of emotions, universes of mobile nature, symphonies between fish that rise and elements that remind us of the lightness of life.

It is inevitable to be fascinated by the vibrant work of the artist Lino; it is love at first sight, and the heart surrenders. His virtuosity levitates in dreamlike atmospheres that are both entertaining and endearingly emotional.

His works are part of private collections in Mexico, the United States, and Asia.
